Our Aim
The HE Co-operative aims to deliver quality cost effective on-line education and training products. We have an established specialism in the healthcare sector, and have been able to deliver award winning products such as our on-line Non Medical Prescribing resource, as a result of pooling the expertise from across the 5 universities.
Our business ethics
Our purpose is to carry out business on a co-operative basis for the benefit of Members, future Members and the wider community. Any profits made over the last 8 years of trading have been re-invested back into the organisation to produce cost effective resources for the good of the wider health care community.
Together we are committed to:
- Running the business in accordance with Co-operative Values and Principles.
- Treating all people fairly and with respect.
- Minimising our impact on the natural environment.
Our history
The Strategic Health Authority (which became Health Education England) requested north west universities work in partnership, and funded an initiative encouraging co-collaboration on materials to support prescribing qualifications. Over the last 8 years numerous collaborations have resulted in new products, invigilation tool.
